The Selk’nam or Onas, who lived in the north and central part of Tierra del Fuego, were monotheist but they didn’t celebrate solemn or grandiose ceremonies. They were jealous about their words and world, so they didn’t make graphic representations of their God. In their language, TIMAUKEL means “Supreme being.”
